Pin it Yourself

Everyone knows, for a while now, Pinterest (the app) has been the hot place to gather inspiration and get new ideas, but for me (as much as I adore Pinterest!) I need a little something more to get the inspiration flowing. Which is why one of my favorite things ever, is creating Inspiration boards. Pinning at home is an absolutely amazing way to keep the creative juices flowing without having to get on the computer. I mean what could be more awesome than a real life pin board? So I encourage you to...
1. Gather a giant cork board, an over sized frame, or even a wall.
2. Find things that inspire you from newspapers, magazines, cookbooks, and pictures.
3. Add 3D items, such as jewelry, feathers, ribbons, etc.
4. And finally Marvel, in the beauty and the awesomeness that inspires you :)

Take a gander at some masterpieces.

ICONATOMY by George Chamoun // A Journey Through Time

As a avid lover of cinema classics, I have always had a thing for old hollywood movie stars. James Dean, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, I have a soft spot for all of them, but I must admit I love the stars in hollywood now just as much as some of the older actors and actresses.
"ICONATOMY constitutes a series of collages by George Chamoun, a Swedish jewelry design student at the Konstfack University of the Arts.  The project was the student’s workshop with the theme ‘icons’ that would imply either celebrities, fashion icons, political, religious or any other personalities that influenced our world in one way or another."
I absolutely love these pictures. I think they are brilliantly done and as a digital graphics student, I would love to do a project like this.
P.S Its amazing how similar these stars look.

Can you Name them all?

Trend Alert: White Blazer

With Spring practically here, we're starting to replace our substantial Winter-wear with a refreshing collection of dazzling prints and lighter hues. That being said, one of the best and smartest swaps is trading a black blazer for a white one.  Stella McCartney and Phillip Lim showed them on their Spring runways and everyone lately has been getting on board with the trend. I encourage you to do the same. I think you will really enjoy the outcome.

I Encourage

Walking through Zara today I was fortunate enough to stumble across this mint blue Crossover Back Dress. I ended up walking away from it but while I continued exploring the store, the dress was always in the back of my mind. As much as I hate to admit it I do this a lot. I walk away from items that I really like. Today I decided to be in my right mind and I bought this dress. I have so many plans for it! So I encourage to invest in something you really like. It's the worst feeling looking back on something and wishing you had it.

Vogue's View: My Favorite Candid Photos from Fall 2012

Now that fashion "month" is finishing up Vogue decided to "reflect on [their] most beautiful images and favorite moments from New York and [their] pilgrimage across the pond to London, Milan, and Paris".  Obviously all of the photos are brilliant and beautiful in different ways... so narrowing this down was amazingly hard, but here are the photos that really spoke to me. To see the rest of the photos visit here.
