Tori:Daisies and Pixie Dust

This stunning girl is Tori and she is the blogger behind the wonderful blog Daisies and Pixie Dust. She describes herself as an "18 year old living in Portland, Oregon who spends time playing dress up, taking pictures, blogging, cutting up magazines, picking flowers and talking to cats." So what is there not to love about this girl?!?! Not only is she down to earth but her style is impeccable. I personally adore her blog and I think you will too! Check out her interview below and check out her blog {here}.

So you have one of the most original and organic blogs I have ever seen, what inspired you to start your own blog?
I've always had a passion for styling and putting together outfits ever since I was in elementary school. When I discovered the world of blogging, I knew it would be a perfect outlet for me to share my form of art and to do what I love.

Well I love what you do! So, What blogs do you visit often?
I love visiting blogs like Amy Flying a Kite, Style Rookie, and Doe Deere Blogazine. I love blogs that combine thrift store finds with designer. I really admire those who are willing to go out on a limb and be daring with their personal style.

I consider you pretty daring with your style as  well. Which designers and/or celebrities most inspire you?
I don't look to celebrities for fashion inspiration as much as I have in the past, but I really like Elle Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld, Alexa Chung and Rooney Mara. As far as designers, I'm a huge fan of Rodarte, Alice + Olivia, and MSGM right now.

Aren't we all! Well you have so many fabulous pieces in your collection, What is your favorite item in your closet?
That's such a hard question! I really love my vintage dresses, and I have a new pair of vintage high rise shorts that I love and am sure I will be living in this summer!

Finish this sentence. I cannot Leave my house without my…..
My iPhone would be the most obvious answer. But, taking that out of consideration, it would be chapstick! I need chapstick like always.

Haha thats a good one! To relax, you like to...
Take warm showers, take walks outside, put in a favorite movie series...(Harry Potter, Star Wars...)

Those are classics. I see you have good movie taste as well! So who is your celebrity crush then?
No one believes me when I say it but I really don't have one! I think I got out of the "celebrity crush" phase in middle school after the Sprouse brothers never responded to any of my fan letters...:/

Oh the Sprouse Twins! And You're right I don't believe you, but whatever you say! I would love to know what some of your beauty/makeup must haves are?
I love my Maybelline Falsies mascara (the normal kind, not that weird Wings kind), Bare Minerals, and Lime Crime lipsticks, especially Retrofuturist. It's the perfect red.

Favorite Magazines?
For art and fashion, I really like Vogue, Teen Vogue and Dazed and Confused. I love going on Rookie Mag for lifestyle. I love reading advice and stories from real girls like me.

You have such a wonderful backdrop to your photos. What are some things you love about your Hometown?
There's so many things I love. We have some great antique and thrift shops. We also have a terrific old Cameo theater and a drive-in movie theater that I love going to every summer.

I will have to visit sometime! I would love to know what the most surprising thing on your Ipod is?
I really don't think I have anything that surprising! I don't know if people would be surprised if they looked at my music choices or not. It's very me. Lots of old music and lots of classic rock. You won't find any hip hop, rap, pop, or anything current or "top 40" though, so maybe that's surprising?

Very cool! And last but not least! What TV show do you wish was still on the air?
Lizzie McGuire, without a doubt! That show helped me though my entire pre-adolescent years and brings me back so many memories. I would love to be able to watch that show again.

Well good news, there is Youtube Channel with a whole bunch of episodes! Not that I have gone there recently...... :/

Jenna:Under the Florescents

Here is the first blogger in the Broadcasting my blog loves series. This is Jenna, the beautiful blogger behind Under the Fluorescents. She was born and raised in LA and has a beautiful eye for fashion. I personally adore every single outfit she posts, and I think she is wonderfully photogenic. Here is the interview I did with her. We have quite a few things in common. Enjoy! And Check out her blog Under the Fluorescents {here}.

Thank you so much for doing this! So what inspired you to start your own blog?
I began my own blog because I have always enjoyed documenting my life. My blog started off more as a space to put my inspiration and eventually I posted my daily outfits. Looking back at outfits reminds me what was happening in my life at that time. I guess my blog is partially a diary.

Well then your diary is quite wonderful my dear! So you must look to many blogs for inspiration,What blogs do you visit often?
I have a lot of favorite blogs. Some are very well known, such as Fashiontoast, Natalie off Duty, and Snakes Nest. Others are bloggers I have made friends with through this whole experience such as Trash Bag Black, Style Kitty, and Treats and Treasures. My favorite part of blogging is interacting with people all over the world who share the same passions as me.

I know! The interaction makes it all the more fun. So, I'm very interested to know which designers and celebrities most inspire you.
When I initially started blogging I was heavily influenced my celebrities like Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens, and Emma Watson. As my style has transformed and developed, I find myself inspired by Gillian Zinser, street style, and bloggers.

I love Blake, Emma and Vanessa as well! Well you have such amazing style, so I don't know how you can possibly answer this, but what is your favorite item in your closet?
I am a boots fanatic! I could not choose one favorite pair. My top two are my hot pink paint splattered Doc Martens and my Trouve boots. I found the Doc Martens for $16 at a thrift store about a month before Doc Martens came back "in". My Trouve boots I bought about 2 years ago and I have worn them to death! I call them my lucky boots.

Can't go wrong with a good pair of boots. How about you finish this sentence. I cannot leave my house without my…..
I cannot leave the house without my iPhone! As unoriginal and technology obsessed that sounds. I am currently obsessed with Instagram! Follow me @jennahug. I also love that I can check up on my favorite blogs on the go. Another favorite app of mine is 55,000 Quotes. I love quotes. I have lists, documents, and journals filled with them.

I am following you this instant! So what do you like to do to relax?
When I need to relax I like to go to yoga and focus on my breath. It really calms my mind. If the weather is nice I head on over to the beach and relax in the sand with Death Cab for Cutie, Band of Horses, and First Aid Kit.

Well this just happens to be my favorite question. I would like to know who your celebrity crush is?
Celebrity crush? Ryan Gosling, James Franco, and Joseph Gordon Levitt are definitely my top 3.

Oh man, I think this is the beginning to a beautiful friendship or some serious competition. You have excellent taste in celebrity crushes my friend. So i would now like to know what your beauty/makeup must haves are?
My beauty must have is mascara. My eyelashes are really long but they are super light so if I do not wear mascara you can't really see their length.

And your favorite magazine?
I have a hardcore obsession with magazines! My entire day can change if I get a magazine in the mail. A few of my favorites are Nylon, InStyle, Seventeen, and Teen Vogue

Love those as well! So I haven't have the pleasure of spending a lot of time in LA yet, but I'd love to know what are some things you love about your Home/Hometown?
I've had a love hate relationship with growing up in LA. I love that there is so much diversity and change of scenery is not that far away. I dislike how at times it can feel too crowded and superficial. In the end though, I am not sure I could live anywhere else.

It seems that you have a love for music, I'd love to know what the most surprising thing on your Ipod?
I listen to so many different genres of music. I have a love for classical like Debussy, but I live for rock and indie. I will admit that when I was 14 I was a die hard Jonas Brother fan...I tend to skip their songs nowadays.

Ahh the Jo Bros. Good stuff haha, and last but not least, What TV show do you wish was still on the air?
There are so many T.V shows I miss from the 90's. Friends, Seinfeld, Boy Meets World, the Amanda Show! I really don't like how television today is overwhelmed by mind draining reality shows.

Ok So its official we need to have a sleepover where we read Seventeen, watch Boy meets world,  and stare at Ryan, James, & Joseph, while we instagram. Ok I'm In!

Laugh. Cry. Repeat

Recently, I was lucky enough to stumble upon these gorgeous images from a lookbook by the ever so retro Laugh Cry Repeat. The LA-Based Line has me floored with its spring and summer styles that are bound to make even the unhappiest person in the world smile. This amazingly vintage line, full of nautical themes and wonderful prints, has me chomping at the bit to see what's next from these fabulous designers.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

Nordstrom Navy Button Up, Macy's Shorts, Forever21 Floral Pumps, Nordstrom Floral Ray Bands

I adore when a few floral details- like a pair of flowery pumps, or some decorative sunnies, can make a few neutral colors, in an outfit go from simple to satisfying. I've been obsessed with floral pieces for a very long time, but have just recently started investing in simple flowered accessories that can take something simplistic and turn it into something special.

A Lil Bit of Neon

  Photos Via

A little bit of neon never hurt anyone, and its taken me a long time to figure this out. I personally have never been a huge fan of this trend. Until recently I always found it to be a little frowzy looking unless you were attending a rave or an flash back 80's party. But lately seeing a little pop on neon here and there is a fun and easy way to turn neutral outfit into something exciting.

The Bestest Tv Couples.(In my opinion)

It says is all in the title lovelies. Here are my favorite Tv couples on television now and from the past. Did I forget anyone? Am I wrong? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Cece and Schimidt (New Girl)
I mean look at these two in the face and tell me they aren't perfect for each other, oh wait you can't. She hates him but secretly likes him, he likes her and it's not so secret.  Talk about Perfection.

Rachel And Finn (Glee)
It's not like there is a shortage of couples on Glee, so when it came to picking one I just had to go with my favorite and thats Rachel and Finn. I know, I know, Blaine and Kurt are the best as well, but Finn and Rachel make me wanna frolick.

Whitney and Alex
They are constantly making me laugh and they pretty much are the most realistic couple on television right now.

Claire and Phil
Hey do you see those shiny things? Yep well they deserve them. They make milk come out of my nose on a daily basis.

Couples from the Past

Cory and Topanga
I don't know if you know this, but Boy Meets World is one of the best shows of all time. This makes Cory and Topanga one of the best couples of all time. You are lying to yourself if you don't want a name like Topanga.

Chandler and Monica

They don't call is the best show on tv for nothing.

Jackie and Hyde
She was rich, he was poor. He was sarcastic, she was superficial. She was Jackie and he was Hyde and together they were wonderful.

Ok, so who did I forget?
