T.V shows have really been rocking my world lately, both in entertainment and in fashion, and after taking a poll with my friends I have narrowed down this post to the most fashion forward girls in television. Although these ladies all be fictional they are all fierce. Below I put together some inspiration boards feat. Carrie Bradshaw (The Carrie Diaries), Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl) , Rachel Berry (Glee), and Jessica Day (New Girl).
A young Carrie Bradshaw's style is full of experimenting, learning and creating her individual unique style. She loves mixing colors and patterns, as well as eras, and putting together '80s-inspired items with pieces from her mother's closet that feel more '60s and '70s. And a little birdy told me that the stylists love mixing fast outlets like H&M, Zara, and Topshop with designers like Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and Rachel Zoe.
Blair Waldorf's style is very classic, preppy, and polished. Looking as if she stepped out of a Neiman Marcus store window, Blair’s fashion sense is definitely the quintessential upper-east-side stereotype. Never a hair out of place. Tailored, classic pieces, dresses and skirts, headbands, and tights, All Blair's bread and butter.
Rachel Berry's style is preppy. She loves plaid, and isn't afraid to rock a knee-sock. Glee costume designer Lou Eyrich mentioned in an interview about her style, “She makes it her way, which is more quirky. The popular girls find a way to make it look cool, but Rachel makes it look nerdy. She thinks she’s taking a trend and making it cool, but she wears it wrong.”
But Obviously if you are watching Season 4, NYC is making Berry a fashion force to be reckoned with.
Jess’ quirky, bubbly and somewhat over-the-top personality sends most people through a loop but Jess rocks some amazing fashion. She knows how to blend lots of bright colors and bold patterns to create adorable, stylish and completely unique outfits. Lots of bright colors with neutral patterns, skirts/dresses, and the ever essential flat.
