Fall To-Do List

As I have stated many times before Fall is my absolute favorite season. It's a non-stop Ed Sheeran Pandora fest, It's an excuse to bake every weekend, and I love knowing the holidays are just around the corner. I realize the first official day of Fall was in September but it only started to feel like it these last couple of days, so forgive my belated post. Here is a list of things I'm planning on doing this season.

1. Plan and execute a successful Game Night with my Friends
2. Learn how to make an Apple Crisp
3. Keep my room/closet consistently clean for both Fall & Winter.
4. Find the perfect Hot Coco recipe.
5. Schedule and purchase Christmas presents early this year.
6. Discover the perfect nightly tea.
7. Film a family music video over Thanksgiving.

What's on your to-do list this fall?

Jodie: Jodie Olivia

This english beauty is Jodie and she writes and models for the blog Jodie Olivia. When I stumbled across Miss Jodie's blog I couldn't help but oogle her style. She's the definition of casually chic. When she's not working on her fabulously styled blog she is drinking tea, listening to the Beatles, or watching Jeremy Kyle. I know, I wanna be her best friend too! Check out the interview I did with her below and then stop by her blog!

I would love to know what made you want to start your own blog?
I think I started reading blogs like Zoella's, Sammi's (Beauty Crush), Louise's (Sprinkle of Glitter), etc. I found them so inspiring and thought it would be fun to start my own as I love taking photos and writing. :)
I know I love those girls. Well you just named a few but what are some other blogs you visit often?
Oh god, soo many! Bell's Fashion, Charmaine's Closet, Fashion Assault, Fashion Rush and The Lioness Blog are just a few that I always love.

Which designers and/or celebrities most inspire you?
I don't really know many designers to be honest, but I always adore what Taylor Swift wears. Especially all her red carpet dresses... she's just perfect!

Ugh tell me about it! She's the best. Finish this sentence. I cannot leave my house without my…..
Lip balm. A bit weird I know but I can't be dealing with dry lips haha.

No! Thats not wierd. I know many who say that.
Celebrity crush?
Ryan Gosling. And Olly Murs! <3

What are some of your beauty/makeup must haves?
I'm loving the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation at the moment, and the Maybelline One by One Mascara. Oh and Revlon Lip Butters are amazing! I also think coconut oil is a miracle product for hair.

Favorite Magazine?
I've had a Look subscription for ages. I also love Glamour and Vogue.

Most surprising thing on your iPod?
I normally listen to quite old music.. I've got so many 70's/80's classics!

Gotta love those classics! Some things you love about your Home/Hometown?
I live in a town nearish to London which is quite cool. My town is a bit rough though to be honest haha! There isn't much to do here and there's no scenery at all!

Favorite things right now (Movies, Tv Shows, Songs etc.)
The Notebook and Shaun of the Dead are a couple of my favourite movies. And I really love Friends, The Inbetweeners and Gavin & Stacy! I really liked My Mad Fat Diary when it was on but it's finished now. My favourite song right now would have to be Only Love by Ben Howard.

Thanks so much Jodie!

Angela: Texas Chic

I must say I had a lovely, little sense of texas pride when I stumbled across Miss Angela's Texas Chic Blog. I mean the woman eats cake for breakfast^^^, How could you not automatically love her. This fellow Austinite's blog is full of personal fashion as well as occasional apperances by her adorable cat Ezra. She also happens to be one of my favorite Instagrammers as well. So read the interview below and stop by her wonderful blog, people. I would never misguide you.

Follow her on..

First things first, What inspired you to start your own blog?
I love taking pictures and I love sharing them. I've always been a fan of blogs and have had many before this one, so this was my final (and successful, so far) attempt :)

Very successful :) For inspiration, What are some blogs you visit often?

Love it! Gonna have to check some of those out, Which designers and/or celebrities most inspire you?
I definitely love everything Michael Kors & Marc Jacobs. I love designer but no so much the price, so most of the time I try and find some similar alternatives or go to Zara :). Some of my favorite dressed celebs are definitely Kelly Osborne and Zooey Deschanel. Kim Kardashian and I have the same body time so I am always inspired by her. I also love the way Kendall and Kylie dress (although they are a lot younger than me they dress my age.. hah)

I love all of those choices! I have totally done blog posts on all of them! Ok, Finish this sentence. I cannot leave my house without my…..
phone and some money to grab a coffee :)

-Celebrity crush?
How can it NOT be Ryan Gosling? Loveee him!

Haha, that seems to be the general consensus. What are some of your beauty/makeup must haves?
I have definitely been into BB cream, must have some mascara (bad gal lash is my fave!) & pretty lips.

-Favorite Magazine?
I'd have to say Marie Claire for the fashion trends & Teen Vogue for the affordability. Everything in Vogue and Marie Claire are usually way to expensive to even think of buying, I love how Teen Vogue picks items that are affordable for the college gal.

Yep, Gotta love affordable. Most surprising thing on your iPod?
Probably Frank Ocean, I am not usually one for r&b and rap but I definitely love him.

I love me some Frank! Good choice love. Some things you love about your Home/Hometown?
My hometown is Houston - I love all of the shopping, food, and big city life there. My house was inside the loop so I was always around events and awesome places.

And Finally, Favorite things right now (Movies, Tv Shows, Songs etc.)
My favorite TV show is Parks & Recreation, it is so hilarious! I also love How I Met Your Mother, I don't want it to end! I have a lot of favorite songs but a good summary is to listen to the Alt 18 countdown on Sirius XM radio channel 36 ;)

Thank you for taking time out of your day to answer my questions Angela! We all loved hearing your answers.

Carly: A Walk in the Park

This stunningly stylish florida native is the blogger behind A Walk in the Park. Carly caught my eye in an issue of Seventeen Magazine, and her blog as been a constant checkpoint for me ever since. Whether her outfit is straight up fem, funky pieces, or basic classics, you will be envious, of her obvious understanding of fashion, and what works. As a fellow Seventeen year old blogger, I constantly look to her for inspiration and I bet you (at any age) will too!

Follow her on..

First, I would love to know, what inspired you to start your own blog?
Well, I have always had a big love for fashion, so that was a big part of it. But I mostly started seeing some other personal style/fashion blogs, and I would get so much inspiration from them, so I wanted to start my own, so I could start little collections of photos that documented my outfits from day-to-day, and also I could post up my own little photos that I've found inspirational, and hopefully there would be that chance that maybe someone else looked at my blog and found it inspirational for them!

I am constantly finding inspiration in your blog, What are some blogs you visit often?
The blogs that I find myself reading most often are Natalie Off Duty, Fancy Fine, In Susie's Shoes, Julia Topaz, Triple Thread, Classy Girls Wear Pearls, The Moptop and Flashes of Style.

All very excellent choices! How about designers and/or celebrities that inspire you?
I am inspired most my Audrey Hepburn, Edie Sedgwick and Steven Tyler. Odd mix, I know...

Wonderful throwbacks. Finish this sentence. I cannot leave my house without my…..
My phone, of course! I keep my phone with me at all times and I'm always on it!

That is the standard teen answer! Celebrity crush?
I have a few celebrity crushes, but my top celebrity crush is Steven Tyler! He's been my top crush ever since I was little, haha! A close second is Johnny Depp, and after that is Mick Jagger!

I totally could've guessed that one by your Tumblr. What are some of your beauty/makeup must haves?
I don't really wear much makeup, but I am always wearing my mascara and lipstick and I always have to have them!

You don't need makeup, you are beautiful as is! Favorite Magazine?
It's a tie between Seventeen Magazine and Vogue. They are both very different, and they're both so good! I've been subscribing to Seventeen for quite a long time now, and I've actually been meaning to renew my subscription to Vogue, just haven't gotten around to it.

Most surprising thing on your iPod?
There's nothing too surprising for me on there, but I do have over 200 Aerosmith songs on my iPod... does that count as surprising?

Thats a lot of Steven Tyler! What are some things you love about your Home/Hometown?
I love how spread out and laid back my city is. I also love that the beaches are only a few minutes away, and it never gets very cold here!

Favorite things right now (Movies, Tv Shows, Songs etc.)
My favorite shows right now have to be Vampire Diaries and the Carrie Diaries. I just can't get enough of those two shows! Gives me something nice to look forward to during the school week!

Thank you Carly, and be sure to check out A Walk in the Park, ASAP.

NYC Trip + Packing Tips

I'm off to NYC tomorrow with my school choir. Should be a fabulous trip, and will be my first time in the Big Apple. We will be seeing the Broadway shows, Newsies and Matilda, as well as hitting up all the best tourist destinations.
The downside to an exciting trip..Packing. I put the pro in procrastination, so I obviously put it off until the last minute, but just because I hate packing doesn't mean I don't rock at it. Below are some tips for your future packing escapades.

{All Packed Up- Cupcakes and Cashmere}

-Layer YourselfMost likely you will look ahead at the weather plans for your destination, but it's smart to prepare for unexpected weather changes. Choose diverse pieces. Blazers are good to transform a sundress, from a day outfit, to a night out.

Roll It Up- Roll up your clothing. This will avoid creases, and provide more room.

Wear Your Bulky Items- Jeans, boots, sweaters etc. wear them to the airport, This will save room!

Bag it- Pack a few extra ziplock bags to store things like dirty clothes, and wet bathing

-Downsize- You really don't need to carry around your biggest bottles and bulk size toiletries. Instead grab some small reusable bottles at target (they're like 99 cents). Fill them up with you're everyday bathroom products, and throw them in a bag. Put it in a ziplock bag so if there is spillage, nothing in your suitcase is ruined. Avoid Ross' problem below! Gotta love Friends.

Catarina: Daydreamer

To start off the Broadcasting My Blog Loves Part II, we have the beautiful Catarina, the blogger behind Day Dreamer. This seventeen year old Portuguese stunner puts the hip in hipster and is constantly pushing fashion boundaries with her daring and edgy style. From her inspirational post titles to her love of arts, photography and fashion, you are sure to fall in love with her and her blog from the first visit

And be sure to follow her on...

Thank you so much for doing this! Ever since the first time I clicked onto your blog I've been hooked. What inspired you to start your own blog?
I used to follow some blogs before I created mine and I found them to be so inspiring that I wondered if I could inspire others too. So I wanted a space where I could also share my pictures, looks, drawings and inspirations…that’s why I created my blog.

Well, I am certainly inspired by you. What are some blogs you visit often?
Le Happy, A Pretty Pass, Amy Valentine and Chloe Ting, are my favourites and probably the blogs I visit the most. <3

Which designers and/or celebrities most inspire you?
My favourite designer is Alexander Mcqueen. When it comes to celebrities I love Jennifer Lawrence personality.

Join the club. I'm in a huge J. Law phase right now. Ok, so finish this sentence. I cannot leave my house without my…..
clothes ahah. I actually can leave the house without my phone.

Thats impressive! Not many people can say that. Right here is my favorite question.
Celebrity crush?
Johnny Depp and Liam Hemsworth.

Fabulous choices. If Miley doesn't work out I'm sure you would be next in line! What are some of your beauty/makeup must haves?
Nail polishes, nail polishes and nail polishes…I love my matte top coat from H&M at the moment, it’s really amazing. Concelear, rimel and lipstick even though I don’t wear it every day.

Favorite Magazine?
Vogue.

Ah, the fashion bible. Good choice. Some things you love about your Hometown?
I love the weather here because it’s never too cold. And I love our downtown.

That's awesome. Living in Texas, it's never cold here. Like ever. And last but not least what are some of favorite things right now
(Movies, Tv Shows, Songs etc.)
From the movies I have watched lately I loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Silver Linings Playbook. But my favourite all time movie is The Notebook. I almost don’t watch tv so I haven’t any favourite Tv Show at the moment. When it comes to music I’ve been listening a lot to Lana Del Rey’s songs, I love her lyrics.

Yes. Anyone reading this needs to see those movies! Thank you Catarina for all that you do and for this interview!
and be sure to check out her blog. RIGHT NOW!

Prom's like the Olympics of high school. You wait four years, three people have a good time.

So this post originally started out with me deciding what my favorite prom movie scenes were, and that is when I realized in movies Prom always ends in disaster. Always. Its quite a bummer. So this is what makes picking these so hard. Everyone arrives and is having a good time, then the you know what hits the fan and someone runs out upset. Only in a few of my choices that doesn't happen. Don't get me wrong I still love Prom scenes but c'mon Prom's suppose to be magical Hollywood.
Well despite this realization here are my favorite Prom scenes.

 Pretty and Pink
I mean, not a lot of girls can say that had a DIY prom dress. Truly original, AND she gets her best friend back as well as her love interest. Thats a pretty good night in my book.

10 Things I Hate About You
Now here's the thing Kat runs out upset like I was telling you guys. It always happens, but watching Bianca punch Joey in the face totally makes the scene worth watching.

Grease
Sandy runs out upset and crying in this one, because Danny cheats on her by dancing with someone else.....But anyway I think it should be mandatory that all Proms have dance offs on national television.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The Yule Ball technically wasn't a prom, but Hogwarts doesn't technically exist either, now does it.

Footloose
I think we all want to kick off our Sunday shoes after watching this super corny dance scene.

Mean Girls
The prom queen is sporting a mathlete jacket, a broken apart tiara and an acceptance speech/school-wide apology, this might just be the best Prom ever.
